Join printmaker Lois Harada and PPL’s Director of Special Collections, Jordan Goffin, in a one-day pop-up of PPL’s Updike Printshop on Saturday, January 11, 10 am to 2 pm! This program is organized in conjunction with the exhibition Pied Type: Letterpress Printing in Providence, 1762–Today, located in the Joan T. Boghossian Gallery on the third floor.
We invite you to try your hand at printing in this interactive workshop, which will feature printing presses and moveable type. Lois Harada, guest curator of Pied Type, and Jordan Goffin will guide participants through printmaking techniques and fashioning one-of-a-kind postcards, which will be mailed at the end of the workshop. No experience is necessary, so please feel free to come as you are. This program is open to all ages; materials and light refreshments will be provided.
