AARP Rhode Island and America Walks proudly present an inspiring evening with Jonathon Stalls—walking artist, activist, and author of WALK: Slow Down, Wake Up, and Connect at 1-3 Miles per Hour. Join us for a moving night of storytelling and community connection as Jonathon shares his journey and invites us to reimagine how we move through our neighborhoods.
We will take a fun, refreshing, and casual walk/roll before the Walktober kick-off + WALK book event. This optional 30-40 minute movement experience will focus on social connection, accessible mobility, and the many benefits of moving at a 1-3 mile per hour pace. Our route will involve a loop that combines various sidewalks and pathways directly outside of the Providence Public Library.
This event kicks-off “Walktober,” a month-long initiative dedicated to enhancing walkability and rollability across Providence. To learn more about “Walktober” and all of its activities, visit: www.aarp.org/RIWalktober
