Providence Public Library (PPL) officially turns 150 this year on April 7, just in time for 2025 National Library Week! To mark our founding, the Library will host a 150th Birthday Party on Saturday, April 12, 10 am – 2 pm. All are invited to join in family fun activities. We’re having a special 150th Maker Day in our Workshop, where you’ll have your choice of lots of PPL memorabilia — from bookmarks and keychains, to buttons, to T-shirts and more that you can customize and keep! Great fun for a family! SIGN UP to let us know you’re coming
While you’re here, tell us your library story and become a PPL Alum! Share why you love libraries, and especially PPL — everyone is part of the Library’s story!
You can even get a new 150th Commemorative Library Card! We’ll even have a PPL150 Scavenger Hunt with prizes and hourly drawings. Come collect library swag! Families are invited to take our inaugural StoryWalk!
