Providence Public Library (PPL) offers limited facility rentals to community groups, nonprofit (501c3) organizations, private businesses, and government agencies, in accordance with Library policies and State and Federal laws.

To inquire about availability of meeting rooms and other rental spaces, including the use of the Library's spaces for personal or business-related photography/videography, please use the Library Space Reservation/Rental Inquiry form below. A reply to your inquiry will be made quickly.
Library-sponsored Programs
Programs that meet the Library's mission of providing balanced, lifelong learning opportunities to the public may qualify for Library sponsorship. In order to qualify, your program must be free, open to the public, and unaffiliated with advertising, sales, or fundraising that would benefit any individual or organization. Sponsorship decisions are made by the Library's Programming Committee, which meets regularly.
If you are interested in applying for sponsorship, please submit your request using the form below. Please note that the form must be filled out in its entirety. Requests received with any fields left blank will not be considered for sponsorship. No unsolicited calls/visits, please.

Space Descriptions
Donald J. Farish Auditorium and Lobby: Auditorium capacity is 250, with built-in projector and screen, sound system, 4 wireless microphones, 4 lapel microphones
Offering complementary features, PPL's Donald J. Farish Auditorium and Lobby are perfect for events, conferences, and more. The spacious and welcoming lobby is ideal for registration, networking, and informal gatherings, providing a bright and modern space with comfortable seating and ample room for guests to mingle. The adjacent auditorium offers a more formal setting with tiered seating, excellent acoustics, and professional lighting, for a range of immersive experiences. Together, these spaces provide a seamless experience for hosting a wide range of events, from conferences and lectures to performances and ceremonies.
Mural Room: Capacity is 70, with 9 round tables and 54 stationed wooded chairs.
Perfect for both formal and informal gatherings, PPL's Mural Room is both spacious and elegant. The high ceilings, large arched windows, and ample natural light create an inviting atmosphere, while the dark wood paneling and classic furnishings add a touch of sophistication. The murals on the walls add an artistic and historical element.
Seminar Room: Capacity is 108 and equipped with a built-in projector and screen, sound system, and 3 wireless microphones.

The open design with comfortable seating and large projection screen allow for a productive work environment. Trustee Room: Capacity is 8 - 10
Offering a secluded and elegant setting, PPL's Trustees Room is ideal for hosting private affairs, board meetings, and more. The room features high ceilings, large windows draped with luxurious curtains, and a stately mahogany table and padded chairs. Whether a formal meeting, a strategic planning session, or an exclusive event, this space offers the privacy and sophistication required for such important occasions.

Guidance for working with us:
- Contact us at least 3 weeks before your event
- For private events without catering, payment is due 7 days before your event
- There may be additional fees for events, including security and cleaning
- We offer discounts and co-sponsorship for non-profit organizations
