PPL Offers 60 Free Computer Training Classes this Summer!
From “Mouse and Keyboard Basics” to “Advanced Formatting in Microsoft Excel,” Providence Public Library will offer 60 FREE computer training classes throughout the summer. The classes officially begin June 24. Registration is required by calling 455-8026.
The summer class schedule will offer classes at varying times throughout the day and evening hours at the following PPL locations: Central Library (150 Empire Street); Knight Memorial Library (275 Elmwood Avenue); Mt. Pleasant Branch (315 Academy Avenue); Olneyville Branch (One Olneyville Square); Smith Hill Branch (31 Candace Street); Rochambeau Branch (708 Hope Street); and South Providence Branch (441 Prairie Avenue).
Choose from the following classes to be offered at multiple times and locations through August: Basics 1 & 2: Mouse and keyboard and more, Customizing your computer, Protecting your computer, PowerPoint, Publisher, Microsoft Word 1, 2, 3 & 4; Microsoft Excel 1, 2, 3 & 4; Ebay 1: Buying & Ebay 2: Selling, Internet 1, 2, 3 & 4; Adobe Photo Elements 1 & 2, Internet 3: Your first E-mail, and Blogging.
